Madeline "Maddie" Laffey, LMHC(t) Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

***New Therapist at Verdant Counseling starting

June 2, 2026***

Appointment scheduling is available now.

Accepting clients ages 4 to 18 years old.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where children and adolescents feel understood, valued, and free to express themselves. It is a privilege to walk alongside young clients and their families as they navigate challenges, build insight, and grow into their sense of self. I believe each child and teen is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs and developmental stage.

My work is grounded in Adlerian play therapy with children, allowing them to communicate, process experiences, and build skills in a way that feels natural and engaging. With adolescents, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation, relationships, and identity development.

I have experience working with children and teens ages 4–18 in outpatient settings, supporting a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, social difficulties, trauma, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping young people feel more confident, connected, and understood, while equipping them with tools they can carry into their everyday lives.

Taalor Brodigan, LMHC(t) Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Choosing to seek therapy often brings anxiety about finding the right support amidst existing life stressors, which can feel overwhelming. My primary goal in therapy is to ensure you feel seen and heard, as you are the expert of your own life. Together, we will navigate your journey toward healing, wellness, and achieving your life goals. I hold an M.S.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Illinois University, a B.A. in Psychology from St. Ambrose University, and I am a National Certified Counselor. My experience spans various settings, focusing on depression and anxiety, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, family dynamics, and other life stressors. I employ a unique and eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to your individual needs, utilizing methods such as EMDR, CBT, and ACT, while incorporating creative techniques like bibliotherapy and art therapy. I believe your therapy should reflect the uniqueness of your life. Both in-person and telehealth options are available to suit your preferences.

Bekah Adolphson, LISW Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

My approach incudes helping you explore and heal the parts of yourself shaped by past experiences, with an emphasis on supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and ASD.
Using EMDR and a trauma-informed perspective, we’ll learn your internal system and how these patterns affect your daily life, relationships, and self-perception while honoring your unique brain functioning. This process often involves reconnecting with younger aspects of yourself, fostering internal safety, and creating lasting shifts. I work most effectively with individuals who feel prepared to engage in profound, insight-driven work and possess sufficient stability in their daily lives to support this transformative process. I strive to have sessions that feel collaborative, thoughtful, and paced to ensure they are manageable and respectful of your capacity. My objective is to help you achieve a greater sense of alignment with yourself, regulate your nervous system, and make intentional choices in your life and relationships. If you’re seeking more than surface-level coping strategies and aspire to gain a deeper understanding of yourself in a meaningful way, I would be honored to assist you on this journey.

Mycailah Salvador, LMHC Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

I strongly believe that people are not meant to navigate life alone. I provide a safe space where teens and adults can share their life experiences in a holistic and empathetic atmosphere. It is essential to have a safe and supportive place to process, navigate, heal, and grow, whether you are dealing with a difficult situation or managing your daily life. When you come to me for therapy, you are met with compassion and understanding, without judgment.  I have experience working with adolescent and adult clients with ADHD, anxiety, relationship issues, life stressors, and depression. The approach I use in therapy is holistic and collaborative, where you have a voice in the therapeutic process and I tailor my approach, assessment, and treatment plan to meet your therapeutic needs and goals.  I utilize a combination of therapeutic styles centered around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Person-Centered Therapy.  Taking the first step toward therapy can be intimidating, but it may be the key to creating the life you want.

Sarah Aanonson, LISW Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Throughout my career, I've found fulfillment in helping others discover their goals and potential. For the past 12 years, I've had the honor of working with servicemen in the military and their families, and I'm happy to now also serve the public beyond. My treatment approach addresses a variety of conditions including anxiety, depression, addiction, stress, life transitions, trauma, PTSD, divorce, grief, anger management, OCD, and ADHD. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) that I use to reprocess trauma and treat OCD, self-worth, and triggers that produce anxiety. I see children and individuals age 8 through adult.

Tina Issa, LMHC Outpatient Mental Health Therapist Founder
